Thos. Moser Contract designs and makes furniture for hospitality, corporate and educational environments with a dedication to skill and precision in craft and to form and function in design. Each piece is handmade in Maine by our 70 master craftsmen using carefully selected, sustainably harvested American hardwoods. Mindful of the space our installations will inhabit, our designs meet the highest standards for enduring function, style and durability.
Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers was founded in the early 1970s to restore the lost art of fine woodworking. Tom Moser was looking for something of permanence, and found it in the craftsmanship of early nineteenth-century America. Not fashionable or trendy, but rooted in historical precedent handed down through generations of journeymen. This commitment to tradition yielded graceful furniture in harmony with wood, built for more than one lifetime of use. The Moser family remains involved in the day-to-day operations of this family-owned business, and the talented Moser Design Team continues to conceive and design new products for the residential and contract marketplaces. Aaron Moser, head of Moser Contract, learned the family business at his father’s side. He and members of his dedicated sales team will be your first Thos. Moser contacts toward a lasting partnership of collaborative excellence.
Working together with architects, general contractors, facility managers and interior designers, we've furnished hundreds of projects across the country, with a dedication to design and exceptional craftsmanship. Our furniture has been chosen for many prestigious institutions including the Darling Law Library at UCLA, the Thoreau Institute, The Getty Center, New York Public Library, the Park Hyatt Washington, University of Georgia, Duke University, and the George W. Bush Presidential Center and Library to name a few. For a more complete installation list, click here.
